CONVENTION CENTER INFORMATION
The show will be held in the Lansing Center. The Lansing Center is located in the heart of Michigan's capital with a fantastic view of the capitol building, and conveniently attached to the Radisson Hotel via a covered pedway over the scenic Grand River. Across the street is Oldsmobile Park; home of the Lansing Lugnuts, a minor league baseball affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays. Half a block north is the Historic Lansing City Market, serving Lansing since 1909. Restaurants, clubs and museums are located nearby that feature worldly flavors and live entertainment. The Lansing Center is also located just minutes from Michigan State University's campus... Home of the Spartans and surrounded by businesses that create an exciting nightlife. The 2009 National Police Collectors Show sponsors are producing a first-rate show worthy of your travel and vacation time!
The convention center has more than one acre of show space (44,096 square feet) with 40' ceilings. There is space for over 500 full-size tables for selling, trading, and displaying.
SHOW INFORMATION
GENERAL ADMISSION:
Details on General admission prices to the show will be available at a later date and reported here.
TABLE/DISPLAY SPACE INFORMATION:
Over 500 tables are available. The tables are eight feet long and 32 inches wide. Wall tables are available for $90 each and inner tables are available for $70 each. Space may be reserved now by contacting the show host. It can be reserved with a 10% deposit. The aisles at the show will be 10 feet wide for easy access.
Concessions will be available for reasonable prices in the show room. There is also an ample loading and unloading area with overhead doors leading directly into the show room. Boy Scout Explorers will be available to assist with loading and unloading.
TABLE ORDERING INFORMATION:
Table/Display Space reservations for the 2009 National Police Collectors Show are now being accepted. Reservations can be made by contacting the show host, Chris Jensen, via email at cjensen@streamwood.net. You can also reserve your space by telephone by calling
(864) 859-2915.
Reservations can be made with a 10% deposit. 50% of the total cost of the reserved space is due on January 1, 2009 and the remainder is due on April 1, 2009. There is one free admission with each registered table, and additional admissions are available for $5 each.
HOTEL INFORMATION
The hotel chosen for the show, the Radisson Hotel Lansing, is a first class hotel with excellent accommodations. This hotel is located at 111 North Grand Avenue, Lansing, Michigan, 48933. The hotel number for reservations is 517-482-0188.
They have offered us a special reduced rate of $99.00 per night for your room, and a reduced rate of $5.00 per night for overnight valet parking. The cutoff date for this rate is May 29, 2009; after this date the rate will only be honored on a space-available basis. The promotional code for attendees to make their reservations online is NPCS08 (that's NPCS zero 8). There is also a $5 per day valet parking fee.

AWARDS AND DOOR PRIZES
There will be several categories of awards to be announced at a later date. There will be $2000 in cash prizes and $2000 in merchandise prizes given to the winners of the show awards, which will be determined by a judging of your peers.
Hourly door prizes consisting of collecting supplies, police memorabilia and great stuff from the Lansing area such as rounds of golf, riverboat tours, and event tickets will be presented.
AUCTION
NEW FOR 2009!!! Live auction of police memorabilia. A professional auctioneer will start the auction at 7PM Friday evening, June 26 at the Radisson Hotel. The auction is restricted to rare items with a minimum expected sale price of $100 or more. Advertisements will be run in the PC News for one full year prior to the show to acquire collections to sell. All types of bids will be accepted - live bids, internet bids, fax bids, phone bids, and postal bids. Sellers can obtain a true market value for their items and buyers have the opportunity to acquire true rarities seldom seen for sale.
BASEBALL DINNER AND OUTING
We have seats reserved at the Lansing Lugnuts game on Saturday night, June 27, along with a buffet style dinner. The Lugnuts are a Class “A” Midwest League, Toronto Blue Jays affiliate) General admission tickets are $8 (w/o meal pass). A combined meal pass and game ticket is $22. Game time for the Lansing Lugnuts vs. Dayton Dragons is 7:05pm. To join your fellow collectors for dinner, please make your reservation by May 8 with Streamwood. ABOUT THE HOSTS
This year's show host has proven show-experience, running 33 similar Boy Scout Memorabilia Collecting shows since 1990 as a 40-year collector, scouting volunteer, and professional scouting show promoter. In 2006, Streamwood, his company, was the sponsor of the Boy Scout National Conference Show and Auction at this same facility. He utilized the same show room, hotel, and auction format that will be used for the 2009 NPCS.
